Getting artists a fairer share of industry revenue, so their creativity can be better supported and sustained. As it is, various middlemen capture an inordinate amount of sales, to the point that many artists complain it’s not economically viable for them to continue making music.
Use of the Dispatch blockchain can remedy this situation. For example, where iTunes typically takes about 30 percent of each song sold, artists selling their music through the Dispatch network could keep up to 100 percent of their sale. And since Dispatch doesn’t discriminate based on file types, content creators can sell their music (or even other art, movies, books, software, VR assets, or documents) direct to the user in any format the artist prefers.
